Constance (Drown) Blair died on April 3, 2026. Connie began her journey in 1931, introduced to the world during the depression, then watching a beloved brother enlist in the Navy during WWII.
From the time she could read, she was either with a book in her hand or on her way to the library for the next. She was class valedictorian at Uxbridge High School and spent a year at Radcliffe before finding her home at Hood College, where she met several lifelong friends and enjoyed a young adulthood filled with mischief and laughter. The adventure continued after college in an apartment near the Charles River in Boston, where she and her roommate met, befriended, were courted by, and finally married their downstairs neighbors – two MIT grad students from Hungary.
After a brief stint in California, Connie and her new husband, John Blair, settled in Massachusetts, where she continued to make many friends, raise her children and began a thriving career in real estate. She was still fielding listing requests until her retirement at age 9
Connie tended to her husband with fierce love and care for over 70 years and passed 11 weeks after him. From tragedy to illness, she lost many along the way. To her great credit, there still remain many whose lives she touched with her direct, endearing personality and Yankee She leaves behind her grandchildren, Ella and Julia, whom she held so dear; and her two children, David and Jennifer, who were honored to support the last miles of her journey.
