The Wayland High School Boosters’ annual Signing Day event featured 11 student athletes graduating with the WHS Class of 2026. The event celebrates Wayland varsity athletes who are continuing to play one of their high school sports at the college varsity level.
From 2022-26, 68 WHS student athletes representing 14 sports and 20 varsity squads went on to play in college. Of these, slightly more than half were on boys’ teams. The majority of these students played more than one WHS sport at a varsity level, something often mentioned by college coaches as a plus for athletes looking to play at the collegiate level.
