The Wayland High School boys volleyball kept rolling with two more wins, while girls lacrosse delivered two lopsided victories before running into Lincoln-Sudbury, headlining a busy Wayland High School spring sports week from May 4–10.
Boys’ volleyball beat Milford 3-2 on Tuesday and swept Westford Academy 3-0 on Friday, continuing one of the stronger runs among Wayland’s spring teams.
Baseball split the week, opening with a 10-6 home win over Boston Latin on Tuesday, then lost 4-2 to Concord-Carlisle on Friday in a close Dual County League matchup.
Softball followed a similar path, beating Boston Latin 10-5 before falling 5-4 to Concord-Carlisle. Girls’ lacrosse had the week’s biggest offensive output. Wayland beat Ursuline Academy 17-13 on Monday, then routed Boston Latin 18-4 on Tuesday before losing 16-7 to Lincoln-Sudbury on Thursday.
Boys’ lacrosse beat Boston Latin 16-4 before falling 12-6 at Holliston.
Tennis had a harder week. Boys tennis lost 3-2 to Boston Latin and 4-1 to Concord-Carlisle. Girls tennis lost 5-0 to Boston Latin and 3-2 to Concord-Carlisle. Track competed at Acton-Boxborough, and coed sailing had two outings, including one at Winchester Boat Club.
On April 28, 2026, the Wayland High School track and field team competed in a tri-meet at Weston High School against Weston and Boston Latin School. The Wayland varsity boys team defeated Boston Latin, 106-34, and fell to Weston, 93-52. The Wayland varsity girls team fell to both Weston and Boston Latin, with scores of 97.5-42.5 and 83-45, respectively. Wayland earned points across sprint, distance, and field events, including a first-place finish in the boys 4×100-meter relay.
Town recreation programs remain in spring and summer mode, with field openings confirmed and registration continuing through ActivityReg. Wayland Little League’s spring season is underway, summer registration is open, and the league is highlighting the completed Eliza J. Norton Foundation dugout project at Cochituate Park.
Wayland Youth Soccer boys’ strikers team (grades 7-8) are working hard to qualify for the MTOC Tournament.
