10:39 a.m. — Police removed a dead raccoon from the Commonwealth Avenue roadway near French Avenue.
7:46 p.m. — A caller from Fuller Road reported that a male wearing tan shorts, rain jacket and black Crocs was going door to door and did not appear to be a solicitor. Responding personnel advised the person of the town’s bylaws for solicitors and provided a courtesy transport to CVS, 150 West Plain St.
Tuesday, June 23
6:30 a.m. — A two-car traffic accident that occurred at Wayland Center was telephoned in. There were no injuries.
6:53 a.m. — A caller reported a large chunk of asphalt in the roadway of Cochituate Road near The Depot; responding fire personnel dealt with it.
9:17 a.m. — A person entered the station to report that a box was in the road near Russell’s Garden Center, 397 Boston Post Road. The box was moved to the side of the road and Mass DOT was notified to remove it.
4:07 p.m. — A resident of Lillian Way called 911 to say a water main may have burst inside the home. A broken water pipe was discovered, and the resident shut off the water.
5:12 p.m. — A call from Concord Road reported a large tree had fallen, pulling down wires. The electric company was notified; the road was taped off, closed and detoured through Tally Ho Lane and Red Barn Road.
8:39 p.m. — A 911 call reported a hit- and-run on Commonwealth Road; there were no injuries. An officer checked the area for a small black sedan but was unable to locate it. Lincoln, Weston and Sudbury police were notified.
Wednesday, June 24
4:50 a.m. — A police sergeant reported a tree down on Juniper Lane at Pequot Road; no wires were involved. Juniper Lane was taped off at Pequot Road, and Pequot was taped off at the entrance to Happy Hollow School. DPW was notified.
6:50 p.m. — A resident of Village Lane came to the station to speak to a police officer regarding a possible criminal complaint about an eBay purchase.
9:37 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident involving two cars on East Plain Street was called in by 911; there were no injuries.
Thursday, June 25
11:25 a.m. — A caller from Moodz, 19 Pelham Island Road, requested and received assistance with a bird that fell from a nest.
9:26 p.m. — A caller from Boston Post Road near Russell’s Garden Center reported a trash bag in the roadway. MassDOT was notified for removal.
10:00 p.m. — A resident of Loblolly Lane reported an odor of smoke and an electrical fire. The homeowner extinguished the fire and will contact the electric company.
Friday, June 25
1:22 p.m. — A caller from Timber Lane telephoned to report a sick raccoon. The animal was put down by the responding police officer.
7:33 p.m. — A caller from Hawthorne Road stated that a man with a blue shirt is going door to door. A police sergeant located the man on Old Connecticut Path and advised him of the town’s bylaws for solicitors.
Saturday, June 26
9:47 a.m. — A motor vehicle accident involving two cars occurred at Cochituate Road and Windy Hill Lane. No injuries were involved.
11:22 a.m. — A Bayfield Road resident called to report that there was a solicitor at his home without proper documentation. The resident was arguing with the solicitor while on the phone with dispatch, while the solicitor was filming the resident. The police department advised the solicitor of the necessary procedure for filing a solicitor’s permit.
4:17 p.m. — A caller from Claypit Hill School stated that a boy about 12 years old has been harassing him and his children and throwing rocks at them for an hour and a half. The responding police sergeant spoke with the parties.
5:11 p.m. — A person called from the Dudley Chateau Club, 20 Crest Road, to report a possibly sick or injured swan. Dispatch contacted the resource for injured birds of prey and Animal Control, but neither had the ability to rehab. Animal control suggested the swan may be depressed and recommended coaching the swan back into the water. The responding officer stated that the swan made its way into the water and appeared to be fine.
6:16 p.m. — A caller from Waltham Road reported his car had been hit while he was visiting; he did not see it happen.
Sunday, June 28
9:52 a.m. — A caller from Rich Valley Road reported a white male with black hair, wearing a gray T-shirt and black shorts, was exposing himself. Police said that the man was a non-verbal autistic male. No charges were filed and his guardian was spoken to about the incident.
12:47 p.m. — From Grace Road came a report of an individual riding a bike without a helmet. The bike was in fact a motorcycle, and the motorcycle was unregistered, so it was towed from the scene.
5:07 p.m. — A 911 caller from Cochituate Road reported a traffic accident involving two cars; there were no injuries.
8:33 p.m. — From Alta Oxbow, 490 Boston Post Road, came a report of a U-Haul dumping items out of the truck. The U-Haul drove into Sudbury; Sudbury Public Safety was notified.
Monday, June 29
3:14 a.m. — An officer reported a dead animal on Old Sudbury Road near Andrew Avenue. Notification was made to Animal Control.
8:33 a.m. — A staff person calling from Wayland Middle School reported a woman was at the door asking for emergency shelter. She was described as white, 33 years old, with short brown hair, wearing green and khaki clothing and Birkenstock sandals and carrying a backpack. Officers said she saw the emergency shelter sign and mistook that for somewhere a homeless person could stay. She left in her car.
3:52 p.m. — Police received a call concerning a two-vehicle crash on Cochituate Road at Wayland Center.
Tuesday, June 30
9:16 a.m. — A caller from Boston Post Road reported a two-car motor vehicle accident; no injuries occurred.
6:06 p.m. — A caller from Pequot Road near Maiden Lane reported there was a tree down in the road. A message was left with DPW.
Wednesday, July 1
2:32 p.m. — A 911 call alerted Public Safety that a car had driven through the Farmers Market at Russell’s Garden Center, 397 Boston Post Road. Fire Department reported no EMS was required; one person was provided courtesy transport to a residence in Sudbury.
4:13 p.m. — A caller from School Street near Gregory Lane reported a wire down; police taped off the area and notified Verizon.

Friday, July 3
7:58 p.m. — A 911 call was received from Main Street about an accident involving two SUVs. Both vehicles were towed to State Road Auto Body, and one person was transported to the hospital. Eversource was notified.
9:55 p.m. — A crash was called in by 911 when a car hit a utility pole on Concord Road near the Wayland Public Library. The road was shut down from Plain Road to Old Sudbury Road, and DPW was notified. One person was transported to Lahey by ambulance.
11:11 p.m. — An alarm company serving Bentley Boston, 533 Boston Post Road, called to report three people were seen on video looking at cars on the premises. Responding officers reported that the individuals were checking on a vehicle and were sent on their way.
Saturday, July 4
9:44 a.m. — A phone call reported a verbal argument between people over grills at the Town Beach. Both parties were advised by the responding officer.
2:39 p.m. — A 911 call reported an injured groundhog on King Street. The animal was put down, and animal control was notified to pick it up in the morning.
Sunday, July 5
12:26 a.m. — A police officer reported seeing fireworks on Commonwealth Road near Main Street. Additional units were requested due to someone being inside a property at that location. Responding police arrested Aiden Ware Langsdorf, 21, 47 Fuller Road, Wayland, for nighttime breaking and entering, possession of a burglarious instrument, possession of unlawful fireworks, and defacing property.
