4:02 p.m. — A caller from Concord Road stated that a large tree had come down; no wires were involved. DPW was notified.
5:22 p.m. — A caller from an apartment on Main Street complained that her neighbor had been playing loud music all day; a report was filed.
7:32 p.m. — A resident of Harrison Street telephoned to report a white male had been soliciting without a permit.
Tuesday, May 26 2:55 a.m. — Police found an abandoned Volvo sedan located in the north lane of travel on Concord Road with the front passenger-side tire blown. After multiple attempts to contact the owner, the car was towed to State Road Auto Body.
5:56 a.m. — Police reported a dead deer along Cochituate Road near Sandy Burr Country Club.
8:12 a.m. — Mulch dropped in the roadway by landscapers was dealt with as a road hazard.
8:20 a.m. — A 911 call from Commonwealth Road near School Street reported an incident of road rage. The party was advised.
10:01 a.m. — A patrolling office assisted a turtle that was crossing the roadway at Wayland Center.
12:49 p.m. — A call came from the bank manager at Middlesex Savings Bank, 1 Andrew Ave., requesting an officer to speak with an individual attempting to withdraw a large sum of money, the manager believing the party was possibly being scammed. An officer responded.
Wednesday, May 27 9:33 a.m. — A passing motorist reported to an officer that there had been a strong odor of natural gas persisting for a few weeks along Old Sudbury Road between The Depot and Andrew Avenue. National Grid was notified.
1:37 p.m. — A dumpster fire was radioed in at 131 Main Street. Fire was knocked down.
1:51 p.m. — A resident of Old Connecticut Path called about a solicitor who came to her door. He was located; no permit was found with his company.
4:21 p.m. — A two-car accident occurring on Cochituate Road near Trinity Place was called in by 911. Transport to Emerson Hospital was necessary.
5:58 p.m. — A person came to the station to report a hit-and-run accident that occurred at Donelan’s Market, 177 Commonwealth Road.
10:57 p.m. — A resident of Alta Oxbow, 490 Boston Post Road, called to complain about parties at the pool yelling and playing music. The parties were advised.
Thursday, May 28 7:31 a.m. — A two-car accident that occurred at Salon D’Elegance, 231 Boston Post Road, was called in.
8:47 a.m. — A resident of High Rock Road called to report the theft of potted plants.
1:00 p.m. — A 911 call reported a traffic accident between an Amazon delivery vehicle and a parked car at 31 Andrew Ave. There were no injuries reported.
1:29 p.m. — A caller from Oxbow Road reported a lethargic raccoon in the backyard. The raccoon was put down. The resident was advised regarding responsibility for removal from private property; Animal Control will follow up.
2:10 p.m. — A resident of Snake Brook Road came to the station to discuss an instance of wire fraud.
Friday, May 29 7:54 a.m. — A caller from Wayland High School reported a two-car accident; there were no injuries but one car was towed to State Road Auto Body.
12:55 p.m. — A caller reported a large brick in the middle of Boston Post Road near Temple Shir Tikva. An officer found it to be a large piece of yellow foam, which was moved off the road. Mass DOT was called for removal.
2:36 p.m. — A caller reported a disabled vehicle; it was found to have a dead battery. The responder was able to jumpstart the battery, and the vehicle was moved along.
8:11 p.m. — A resident of White Road found a German Shepherd with no tags. Animal Control was notified.
Saturday, May 30 2:15 a.m. — An officer located a German Shepherd with no collar. Animal Control was notified, and attempts were made to locate the owner.
7:57 a.m. — A 911 call from The Village Bank, 70 Boston Post Road, reported a German Shepherd with no apparent owner. Animal Control was notified, which took custody of the dog.
8:04 a.m. — A caller from Draper Road near Glezen Lane reported a tree had come down and was blocking the road. DPW was notified and the area was taped off.
8:26 a.m. — From Brooks Road, a call came in that a tree was lying on the wires and there was smoke. Eversource was informed, and Comcast was notified of the cut wire with a hanging tree limb.
8:37 a.m. — A caller from Loker and Thompson streets reported a tree blocking the road. DPW was notified and the area was taped off.
8:48 a.m. — A large tree was found to be blocking the road. DPW was notified and the area was taped off.
9:09 a.m. — A caller from East Road reported a tree down on the road. A branch was cleared by police.
10:29 a.m. — A caller from Oxbow Road stated that a tree was blocking the southern opening of Oxbow Road and leaning on a pole guide wire. Eversource was notified.
10:47 a.m. — A resident of School Street reported that a tree fell on her house and was leaning on wires; no injuries were reported. Eversource was notified and responded with a tree crew.
11:11 a.m. — A 911 call reported that a tree fell on a mail truck. One person was taken to the hospital and the truck was towed.
12:17 p.m. — A caller reported a tree blocking a lane of Concord Road near Training Field Road. DPW will remove the tree.
Sunday, May 31 5:25 a.m. — A caller from Launcher Way reported a tree had fallen on the house. There was superficial damage.
12:02 p.m. — From Pelham Island Road a call came in that a tree was leaning on wires. Eversource was notified.
Monday, June 1
3:15 p.m. — A 911 call reported a two-car accident at Loker Street and Alden Road; no injuries occurred.
Tuesday, June 2 9:00 a.m. — A caller reported that a stop sign at Lillian Way and Andrew Avenue was knocked over by a commercial vehicle.
11:44 a.m. — Personnel attended to a report by a person coming to the station that a large deceased animal was in the roadway at Millbrook and Nob Hill Roads.
12:25 p.m. — A resident of Main Street came to the station to speak with an officer concerning harassing text messages she was receiving.
1:24 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident, with no injuries, was called in by 911 from Giacomo’s Ristorante, 14 Elissa Ave. Two cars were involved.
Wednesday, June 3 11:37 a.m. — Calling from Bent Avenue and West Plain Street, a person reported a hit and run accident, possibly involving a Toyota sedan with veterans’ plates.
1:24 p.m. — A party came to the station to report her wallet was stolen from the Longfellow Club, 524 Boston Post Road.
2:29 p.m. — A resident used 911 to report that his children had called from the Hanna Williams Playground, 71 Main St., to say that an older male was yelling and cursing at them. The man was found to be an employee of a nearby establishment; he was advised not to yell at the children.
5:02 p.m. — A person came to the station to report a hit and run accident that occurred at Sandy Burr Country Club, 103 Cochituate Road.
5:27 p.m. — A two-car motor vehicle crash was called in by 911; the crash occurred at 5 Paths, 175 Old Connecticut Path.
10:42 p.m. — A 911 call alerted police to a car being driven erratically on Old Connecticut Path. The operator, Raymond Ntege, 34, of Framingham, was arrested for OUI, marked lanes violation, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
Thursday, June 4 8:01 a.m. — A caller reported a turtle in the road at Wayland Country Club, 121 Old Sudbury Road. The turtle was removed from the roadway.
8:17 a.m. — A two-car accident on Pinebrook Road near Old Connecticut Path was called in.
4:16 p.m. — A caller from Middlesex Savings Bank, 150 Commonwealth Road, was concerned about a customer berating staff and customers. An officer responded to calm the situation.
4:27 p.m. — A caller from the vicinity of George Street and Bent Avenue complained that there were six teens on bikes knocking on doors and running away. The parties were advised.
4:49 p.m. A motor vehicle crash involving two cars at CVS, 325 Boston Post Road, was reported; there were no injuries.
Friday, June 5 11:54 a.m. — Traffic lights at Wayland Center were flashing; stop signs were placed by officers and the Highway Department was notified.
5:20 p.m. — A caller from Bent Avenue complained that there were teens banging on doors in the area; the parties were advised.
Saturday, June 6
6:25 a.m. — A caller from Stonebridge Road reported that there were trash bags and a flat-screen TV box disposed of on the side of the road by the bridge. DPW was notified.
12:48 p.m. — Police responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at Old Connecticut Path at West Plain Street.
1:21 p.m. — A car crash, reported by 911, occurred on Sherman’s Bridge Road when a car hit a utility pole. Eversource was notified.
1:34 p.m. — A traffic accident on Cochituate Road involving a sedan and a USPS truck resulted in injuries and airbag deployment. Occupants were transport to the hospital and both vehicles were towed to State Road Auto Body.
3:49 p.m. — A two-vehicle accident occurred on Old Connecticut Path at Castle Road (see photo below). Two people were transported to hospital and the cars were towed.
4:32 p.m. — A dive team and drone officer were called to investigate a submerged vehicle found in Lake Cochituate, within Cochituate State Park. Further investigation is in the hands of state police.
Sunday, June 7
12:13 p.m. — A caller from Bent Avenue was concerned about juveniles filming his house. The youths were contacted, as well as one parent, and were advised.
