11:41 a.m. — A traffic accident on Commonwealth Road was called in by 911; the crash involved two vehicles, and one person was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
12:14 p.m. — A caller reported an injured cat on the side of Old Sudbury Road; Animal Control was notified.
12:32 p.m. — A 911 caller notified police of a car hitting a utility pole on Claypit Hill Road; there were no injuries and there was no damage to the pole.
Tuesday, June 9
3:31 p.m. — A 911 call was received from Lincoln Road, where the caller reported hitting a gas line with an excavator. National Grid was notified and arrived shortly.
6:05 p.m. — A motor vehicle accident involving two cars occurred at the intersection of Boston Post and Plain roads was called in by 911.
7:08 p.m. — There was a hit-and-run traffic accident in the parking lot of Jindu, 131 Boston Post Road, according to a 911 call. Weston Police Department made contact with a resident of their town and the party was advised to call Wayland Police. Weston officer noted there was no vehicle damage.
9:23 p.m. — A call from aA Glezen Lane resident reportinged damage to his property, suspected to have been caused by a delivery truck or van. There were tracks in the lawn and damage to small trees and shrubs.
Wednesday, June 10
8:55 a.m. — A call from a Pelham Island resident concerned an injured woodchuck. Animal Control was contacted.
2:38 p.m. — A single-car motor vehicle accident at CVS, 25 West Plain St., was called in by 911 and required transport to Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
9:53 p.m. — A caller from Concord Road reported a large tree was down across the roadway; the road was closed at Tally Ho Lane and Red Barn Road.
Thursday, June 11
6:03 a.m. — Resulting from a motor vehicle stop on Old Connecticut Path, the driver had a summons for operating on a suspended license; the vehicle was recovered by a licensed operator.
9:53 a.m. — A traffic accident on Cochituate Road and Trinity Place involving three vehicles was called in by 911; one person was transported to Newton-Wellesley Hospital and one vehicle was towed to State Road Auto Body.
12:57 p.m. — A call from King Street reported that a cart with electric meters in it had been stolen.
3:01 p.m. — A minor traffic accident occurring in the Bank of America parking lot, 179 Commonwealth Road, resulted in no injuries or towing.
6:53 p.m. — Sudbury Public Safety reported that they had been called by someone reporting an outdoor fire in the vicinity of Heard’s Pond with three individuals present. The fire was extinguished within 20 minutes.
7:36 p.m. — A minor crash occurred at Station 2, 145 Main St., involving two Jeep Grand Cherokees. No injuries were reported and the vehicles were released to the operators.
9:18 p.m. — Several calls reported a transformer on fire on Moore Road. The fire was extinguished and Eversource was notified.
Friday, June 12
8:46 p.m. — A motor vehicle crash occurred at Commonwealth Road and Oak Street, called in by 911.
5:34 p.m. — A caller from Fuller Road reported a large tree branch hanging on primary utility wires. Eversource was notified.
6:51 p.m. — A caller from Stonebridge Road stated there were four ducklings stuck in his basement stairwell; respondentrs were able to release the ducklings back into the water.
Saturday, June 13
11:15 a.m. — A motor vehicle accident occurred at the dental office at 233 Boston Post Road; two cars were involved.
1:35 p.m. — A caller from Grove Street reported a tree was down across the roadway; the road was taped off, DPW to move the tree after the weekend.
Sunday, June 14
11:31 a.m. — A motor vehicle accident on Bow Road was called in by 911 when one vehicle struck an unoccupied car. There were no injuries.
3:32 p.m. — A 911 call from CVS, 150 Main St., reported a female shopper filled up a cart with expensive items for half an hour. She was described as a tall, thin, white female, approximately 30 to 40 years old, wearing a black tank top, black and white pants, and a hat. 5:15 p.m. — A call from the Natick Police Department reported receiving notification from the State Police that parties were jumping from the Mass Pike into the lake. An officer spoke with the area parties in.
Monday, June 15
9:49 a.m. –— Police arrested Tavon Kareem Robinson, 47, of Holbrook, for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (firearm) and home invasion. Tuesday, June 16
7:40 a.m. — Police reported a motor vehicle accident involving two cars in the vicinity of Saint Ann’s Church, 134 Cochituate Road. There were no injuries.
10:37 p.m. — Police received a 911 call from the Carriage House, 134 Boston Post Road, from a driver who, feeling distressed over someone playing loud music in a car, was frightened to get out of her car. Police took into custody Luzia D. Almeida Oliveira, 34, of Framingham, who was charged with negligent operation of a motor vehicle, OUI, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and operating a motor vehicle without a license.
Wednesday, June 17
8:52 a.m. — The Fire Department responded to a report of a burning odor at Paresky Flitt & Co., 14 West Plain St. Fire Department reported power was shut off to the area and an electrician was called in.
10:41 a.m. — A caller from Woodridge Road reported a dead woodchuck in the road. It was moved out of the roadway by responding personnel.
6:14 p.m. — A resident of French Avenue called to speak to an officer regarding credit card fraud.
Thursday, June 18
9:02 a.m. — A call from 297 Boston Post Road reported that a gas line had been struck. National Grid was on the scene and DPW closed the road.
5:04 p.m. — A brush fire near the Route 30 bridge, 50 Commonwealth Road, was reported. The fire was struck down. DCR was notified of past fires in the same area and advised of additional patrols.
6:20 p.m. — A resident of Castle Gate Road called 911 to report that a package had been stolen from her porch.
9:05 p.m. — From Russell Road came a 911 call that there was a tree in the roadway; DPW was called to remove the tree, and the area was taped off.
11:06 p.m. — A person came to the station to report a tree across the roadway at Millbrook Road. DPW was notified.
Friday, June 19
6:20 p.m. –— A Plain Road resident called 911 to report damage to his mailbox.
Saturday, June 20
4:37 a.m. — A single-car accident on Cochituate Road at Windy Hill Lane resulted in a downed telephone pole across the roadway, making the road impassable. The car went off the road. DPW was notified to set up a detour, and Eversource and the Water Department were notified (see story and photo on page 2).
8:13 a.m. — A two-car traffic crash at Coach Grill, 55 Boston Post Road, called in by 911, resulted in no injuries.
1:13 p.m. — A resident of West Plain Street called to speak with an officer about a scam involving car maintenance.
2:32 p.m. — Personnel responded to a motor vehicle accident on Old Connecticut Path, where a single car hit a tree in the roadway. The car went off the road. DPW was notified to set up a detour, and Eversource and the Water Department were notified
Sunday, June 21
10:17 a.m. — A minor motor vehicle accident occurred on Main Street; two cars were involved and no injuries were reported.
12:12 p.m. — A call from Commonwealth Road at Oak Street reported an injured deer on the side of the road. When personnel arrived, the deer had died and was moved off the roadway.
3:47 p.m. — The station received multiple calls that a tree limb was hanging on wires along Plain Road near Draper Road and that the limb was on fire. Eversource was notified.
