Academic achievements The following Wayland students earned their bachelor’s degrees:
April Kaewprasert received a B.S. in business administration from Stonehill College.
Maeve Myles received a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross.
Jason Luc received a B.S. in computer science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Zirui Zhong received a B.S. in biology, biotechnology, and psychological science from WPI.
Dean’s List Michael Jennings was named to the dean’s list at James Madison University. He is majoring in elementary education.
Other achievements The following local students completed their capstone research thesis projects at WPI:
Jason Luc ’26, majoring in computer science, completed a project titled “Coined Quantum Walks.”
Zirui Zhong ’26, majoring in biology and Biotechnology and Psychological Science, completed a project titled “Social Media Versus Rest on Physiological Stress Reduction.”
Lucas Pralle ’27, majoring in mechanical engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed a project titled “Educational Resources for Prevention of Harmful Algal Blooms.”
The capstone thesis is a research-driven, professional-level project that challenges students to solve the kinds of problems they would typically encounter in their professional life.
